Unformatted text preview: UNIVERSITY OF PHEONIX Final Project: Interview Profile BEH 225 Jennifer H ill 10/23/2010 For the person I am supposed to interview is my best friend Shanna Levi, she is 22 not quite my age but I do not really have anyone that is my age. She is dating my husbands best friend that is really cool since our best friends are together and have been dating for a year now. She does not have any children but does want them after her career starts off to a good start and is married. She loves most of everything that I like to do and loves being outdoors. Therefore, a very in detail conversation concerning psychology, behavior, and motivation was initiated. Everything in my interview with Shanna will be in my paper along with my own responses. Psychology is the study of behavior and mind function to include attitude, learning, motivation, and personality. When looking at yourself normally you know the way you act and think. Since knowing this sometimes it is necessary to get out and be with others to be able to have understandings of their behavior, personality, and thinking. We are going to be talking about motivation and development first and then the rest of the questions are going to be next. The interview began with asking Shanna whether she was more apt to a task at hand through intrinsic or extrinsic motivation. An explanation was necessary to understand the meaning of both motivation types. Following the clarification, Shanna responded to say that it would be easily extrinsic. I find doing most of what I do in my extracurricular activities for the enjoyment of it. That alone gives me the persistence and drive to want to do it again and again (S. Herringshaw, personal communication, October 23, 2010). I shared in Shannas answer as one who is driven through extrinsic motivation as well. For an individual to take part in what they enjoy on a day to day business is sourced commonly to extrinsic motivation. We live to be able to partake in what we enjoy, whether it is our employment, hobbies, or fundraising activities, because it can contribute a fulfilling sensation that sometime cannot be duplicated using an analytical approach.
