Discussion: Temperature From the data obtained from the experiment we created 3 calibration curves for the Thermistor, RTD and Thermocouple. For the Thermistr the calibration curve was y=1.553x – 3.986, RTD y=0.399x + 99.62, Thermocouple y=0.032x + 0.451, these equation allow us to determine the temperature at any resistance/voltage reading. we obtained we were able to plot a calibration curve which allowed us to find the temperature of ice water 0 c, boiling water 100 c, dry ice-100 c, and liquid nitrogen -200 c. The response time of the thermocouple was almost instant making it very sensitive compared to the other devices. After repeating the experiment twice we found the thermo couple also to be the most accurate. In the art of the lab there were numerous sources of error. The temperature of the sample of dry ice, liquid nitrogen, ice water and boiling water were constantly fluctuating, which appeared in our reading.
