Needs Assessment Cobb County School District is the second largest school system in the state of Georgia, and th2 26 th largest in the United States. The district is responsible for educating more than 106,000 students in its ever changing environment. The district partners in education with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce along side with other local business who have committed partnerships who increase synergy between the business and schools throughout Cobb. Fred Sanders the superintendent with more than three decades of experience, veteran teacher and administrator has served a variety of roles throughout the course of his career. Sanders spent three years as Vice President of the Cobb- County based benefits marketing group CBIZ/ Benmark. Needs Assessment CCSD Transportation Department is committed to providing the safest, consistent, reliable transportation possible and will strive to continually upgrade our service to students and parents as it becomes possible. Mission CCSD transportation department’s mission is to transport students safely and on time so that they are ready to learn. Organizational Analysis CCSD transportation department needs successful deployment and operation of ensuring that all safety rules are being met. There are many school busses that are having a significant number of accidents during travel time transporting students to and from school and surrounding neighborhoods. The purpose of this assessment is to establish an adequate bus driver training program for Cobb County School District and evaluate the results of various training programs to reduce school bus accidents.
