Joan Cronan, the Women's Athletic Director at the University of  Tennessee, taught me a lot about how much hard work it takes to get to  where she was today.  It’s funny to thinkg that something like being told no  to playing little league baseball when she was 12 would make her decide  what career path she would take.  As a woman it is very admirable that  during a time period when it was considered absurd for women to work or  even play sports Joan decided that she would defy both those odds.  She  worked extremely hard to reach the position she is at today and has  inspired so many others to achieve their goals.   Joan's interview taught me that it doesn't matter what level you're at,  whether it be Division I or Division III, if your making a difference at any  level it is a good opportunity.  She also said that you need to create your
