THE PROVIDER INTERVIEWD FOR THIS PRESENTATION IS BASED IN ACUTE CARE WITH CURRENT GOALS:
PERFORM A DIRECT ASSESSMENT OF A COMMUNITY OF INTEREST USING THE "FUNCTIONAL HEALTH PATTERNS COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT GUIDE .“ The community chosen comprises of multi cultural beliefs and practices Predominantly the community has mixed population with Christian faith from diverse cultures. The community beliefs in god for good health and healing. The community right now is away from their churches, temples schools, self help groups and support groups due to COVID 19 pandemic. The community beliefs in health promotion measures, and it got more obvious with the current outbreak, where families, stakeholders help each other to eradicate this current virus. Community members spend their funds on schools, churches, social group activities.
HEALTH PERCEPTION/MANAGMENT COVID 19 is the most impacted outbreak the community is facing currently. It is a global pandemic, CDC, County, State and country as a whole is suffering with the outbreak. Immunizations are given based on family knowledge and beliefs. Individuals are dying daily and many are infected with COVID19 cases. Disease prevention programs like dental, fire, fitness is always readily available, but current situation does not allow any one to use these facilities due to infection and outbreak. Availability of volunteer workers, doctors, nurses retired re employed workers make the pandemic some how manageable in hospitals.
NUTRITION/METABOLIC Obesity is obvious in this community but it is not a concern right now compared to the COVID19 tragedy the people are facing
