Stat 340 Project B Who writes this part of the project? A) Students with an average grade of <=47% on the 3 tests must write project B. B) Students with grades in the range of (47%,51%] on the 3 tests have the option to write project B. C) Alternatively, if you missed a test for a valid reason, you have the option to write project B. Average test grade? Let A, B, C be test 1, 2 and 3 grades out of 100 (with bonus marks it is possible to have more than 100). The average grade is (A+B+C)/3. If this number is more than 47% you do not need to write the project (even if you missed one). What is the format, marking scheme, due date and time etc? Please see the description for the final project. How does this differ? This project differs in that it expects: a) FULL details including all math. This would however, be put in the appendix. b) It defines the general problem. Grading still contains a creativity requirement. c) This is an INDIVIDUAL project. d) It is expected that in any case where a clarification is needed you will make an assumption and state it. What is the problem? Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre is a nursing home in Kitchener. There is one nurse on the 3 rd floor and 4 personal support workers for 60 clients. The home measured 180 instances of a clients’ bell ringing (BellTime) and the time at which a personal support worker (psw) or a nurse arrived (ArrivalTime) at the clients room. The number of people who were busy (busy) on staff was also recorded for each of the 180 Bell Times. Finally they recorded the time of departure (DepartureTime). The data are below (Bell Data). All data is in hours. Time zero is midnight. At the same time the home measured the start (StartlTime) and end times (EndTime) for non bell duties (giving out pills, double checking on clients, charting etc). Again, time zero is midnight. 50 measurements were made (Service Data). The type of duty is given as (type):
