Nirali Patel Journal Entry 5: Describe how your understanding of leadership has changed or how it has remained  constant since the first week of class. What personal leadership area do you believe  needs attention? What leadership area do you feel is your strongest? Leadership is the process of influencing an organized group toward  accomplishing its goals.  Before the start of this class, I firmly believed that being a  leader is in one’s genes. I also believed that leadership is a god’s gift; neither can it be  acquired nor it can be developed. So, I never took a deep insight into the leadership  area, till the date I first attended this class.  Over the course of this class, I have gained some useful leadership  understanding, and gained useful experience by implementing the leadership skills at  my work place. I understand and feel what it would be like “to be in charge.” Now, I  understand the art of true leadership. This art of leadership concerns the skill of  understanding leadership situations and influencing others to accomplish group goals. I

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
