While a face to face medium is the most effective way to communicate, it is not practical in this situation. “Choosing the right medium usually boils down to these three factors, all of which should ultimately determine the best medium for a brand’s message: audience, budget, and message” [ CITATION Hal3 \l 1033 ]. The audience is the most crucial factor in deciding which medium to use. The budget is obvious, it must be within the means of the company. The message is concerned with what the sending wants to say to their audience. The reason for the written press release is that it is more effective for transmitting a large message and “can be carefully crafted to say exactly what the sender means” [ CITATION Cha \l 1033 ].
