Good morning ladies, Dear Mm. Martinelli thank you for inviting us to your house. It’s my pleasure to be here with all of you today, and I am pleased to meet the new faces, and for those who are new; welcome to Geneva! Our president, Kajori, who isn’t here today, welcomes you all as well. My name is Manila Paktian, I am the vice president of activities in the UNWG, and I would like to share some information with you about our guild and activities. I will start by telling you how to become a member. Our membership is open to any woman officially connected by work or relationship with the UN, the specialized agencies, the permanent mission to the UN and intergornmental organizations with the headquarters in Geneva.

Unformatted text preview: For the activities, we have different things such as, handicraft, quilting, cooking, hiking, Mah Jong, painting, social-bridge, open bridge, fitness training, jewelry making, cine club, and book club. We also have language courses which include French, English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. We also have 2 art exhibitions every year in which you can participate. There is also an annual luncheon, and an annual children’s walk in the United Nations, and the main event which is our annual bazaar. We are happy to have Mm. Martinelli, the chairperson for this year’s bazaar and maybe she could give you some more information about the bazaar....
