Pathetique Piano Sonata in c minor Op. 13 Piece was dedicated to his friend Prince Karl von Lichnowsky, a big patron. The piece was named by the publisher, who was impressed by the sonata’s tragic sonorities. 1) Grave- Allegro di molto e con brio a. Very slow with solemnity, quickly with much vigor b.
