Introduction The purpose of this lab is to study the wave nature of light. This includes diffraction, interference, and dispersion. For interference and dispersion, I will measure the intensity of light across its diffraction pattern when seen through no slit, a single slit, a double split, and a strand of hair. For diffraction, I will measure the diffraction angle of both monochromatic light and white light. III. Experimental Results Part 2 For this section, I measured the profile of the laser beam with and without the single slit. To do this, I centered the beam on the detector screen and took position and voltage measurements starting from 2cm to the left of the screen to 2cm to the right of the screen, obtaining a profile of 4cm in total.
