The classroom management program that I would implement in my classroom is the authoritative style which will place limits and controls on the students, but will encourage independence. I would explain to the student’s reasons behind the rules and what would be the final decision. I would allow my students to have input in the rules but I will have the final say .I would offer a polite firm reprimand to the students who are disruptive. I will be open to considerable verbal interaction; including debates in the classroom .I will allow student interruption during teaching if a student has a relevant question or comment. I think this environment will offer students the opportunity to learn and practice communication skills .I would show warm and nurturing attitude towards my students and express genuine interest and affection. I would be able to write comments on the student’s homework or class work to offer my students positive remarks, this is also included in my unit plan. I would encourage students to rely on themselves first before relying on anybody else. I would encourage students to be socially competent and foster high achievement motivation. I will look out for struggling students, by guiding them through the projects than leading them .I will use multidimensional teaching for students who are having difficult time and give individual attention. The idea of differentiated instruction will be encouraged especially with different students from different academic background. This plan supports my teaching and learning statement because as a behaviorists and a cognitivist I want the students to think for themselves first before seeking help from the teacher and other students. I want the students to be independent and self confident which will lead them a long way than relying on somebody else for their welfare. Elements of the plan: I will have group work in the class whenever I think it necessary .I will organize groups when the lecture is done and I need students to work with each other to achieve the goal of the

objective .I can have group of four or three and each group should have a group leader, a spokes person and the group writer and somebody to help clean after the work is done .The teacher will go to every group to observe, correct and encourage for a good result at the end. There will be accommodation in my classroom because the present classroom has students from different backgrounds, some do speak little English and some do not, so there should be ways of helping every student in the class .Students are encouraged to work with each other if they need help to clarify a topic or a problem if they cannot talk to the teacher .Students who have difficulty with the general language can ask the teacher for help or other students. There are rules in this class and the first one will be the golden rule, do not do to others what you do not
