People who have engaged in violent acts, and then you ask about their upbringing . But people may wish to rationalize their actions by saying they were beat up by kids. That correlational research doesn t allow you to talk about causality. Retrospective in nature. Data is a little muddy. If you have been exposed to inter-parental violence or you ve been beaten up yourself, that creates a vulnerability and puts you at risk for being violent.
