Greenhouse warming and deforestation both lead to more droughts and floods, especially in places that have not experienced them to a large extent. Greenhouse warming (although its extent is still very controversial) can cause more severe weather on local levels and cause flooding or drought. According to national geographic, global warming is already causing flooding in 22 African countries. Deforestation and reduction in plant life (as seen in the Dust Bowl Era) can cause droughts and diversion of rainfall to elsewhere. Droughts can cause overuse of available water resources. Floods, as seen with Hurricane Katrina’s flood of New Orleans, can cause water pollution. Both flooding and
