Unformatted text preview: Shirae Butler M KT 3342 SBJ Journals 9/22 Nike puts name on Winter Dew Tour Spot by T ripp Mickle As we have learned in class, that your name and recognition is your most important asset, Nike received title rights for the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado this year. This is a very smart way to introduce their new line of winter outerwear Nike 6.0. This is the first time Nike has t ried a winter outerwear line, and they are expanding their horizon by sponsoring an action sport event. Nike, by sponsoring the Dew Tours, will reach out to a fan base that would be interest in their line, and in the process, meet other companies related to winter games, such as networks and resorts, that may be beneficial to raising awareness of Nike 6.0. Nikes marketing strategy seems to go in the direction of advertising/promotion so that they have the benefit of both control and creditability. I believe Nike has made a great deal with the games. Having title rights, on-site and retail rights gives them full great deal with the games....
