(b) Source free RL Circuit: At t<0, the switch is at position a, and there is a current I 0 circulating in the loop containing the inductor L. At t=0, the switch is moved to position b. Find the i L as a function of time.

Find the current i(t) as a function of R, L, Vs, and time t. 3. [Transient Response of 1 st order systems] Consider the following circuit: The switch was open for time t<0 and then closed at time t=0. Determine R1 and R2 so that the voltage across the resistor R2 becomes V R (t=0 + ) = 2 V and V R (t=1ms)=1V.
