Homework Policies: Submit the homework to the TAs at the examination place before starting the exam (7pm, Mar 22) . If you submit the homework after the due time, 50% will be deducted from your grade and any excuses will NOT be allowed for the delay. Cheating on the homework will result in ZERO grades for everyone involved. Discussions on the problems are, of course, allowed. However, in that case, you MUST identify the names and their ID numbers in your solution cover page . Problem 1 Derive the Fourier series for the periodic voltage shown below. Problem 2 Use a 0.5 μ F capacitor and a resistor to design a low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of 50 krad/s. (a) Specify the cutoff frequency in Hertz (Hz) unit. (b) Specify the value of the filter resistor. (c) Assume the cutoff frequency cannot increase by more than 5 %. What is the smallest value of load resistance that can be connected across the output terminals of the filter? (d)
