One aspect of society that has been greatly changed by technology is the movie industry. With today’s technology it is no longer necessary or prudent to spend twenty-five dollars per person to see a two and a half hour movie in a crowded uncomfortable theater. Today movies are released onto DVD only six months after being released in a theater. This has greatly changed the way society, in a more metaphorical sense, views movies. Unformatted text preview: American way of life. Technology has removed this majesty that movies used to have. Modern day has taken the magic of going to a theater and entering a world of great possibilities and made into a common form of mediocre entertainment. I much prefer watching movies from the comfort of my own home rather than spend an excess of money to see it on a bigger screen. While there are some movies that are better seen on a big screen with great surround sound and I do occasionally like going to the theaters, it has become a luxury that is economically irresponsible to splurge on....
