Heather Lopes Caitlin Holland Juan Rosich Operations Management 6 October 2010 Multiple Regression Analysis for Clocks Time Wise is a company that was founded ten years ago to produce timing devices for the government. Over the years, they have expanded their manufacturing companies and relatively inexpensive clocks for the business and consumer market. The following report will discuss the information about the defects, the processing rate, overtime hour’s employees put in, and the training of workers. A random sample of 99 production shifts were looked at and will compared to one another. By looking at the data set, one might conclude that the number of defects will be increase by the processing rate; the faster the process rate of making clocks can contribute to the number of defects being at a higher rate. With employees working overtime, it might be concluded that the more hours of overtime employees put in the less number of defects there will be in the clocks.
