Weale, Zach Period 3 April 18, 2006 “Three Faces of Eve” When one becomes mentally ill, it is sometimes extremely difficult for that individual to receive help. At the time that “The Three Faces of Eve” took place, there was little knowledge of how to treat the mental illness known as multiple personality. Even psychiatrists, supposed experts of the human mind, had little experience with this extremely rare disease. Based on the accuracy of Eve’s unique case of multiple personality, “The Three Faces of Eve” teaches the viewer various things about this strange illness. Before viewing this movie, I was under the impression that someone with multiple personalities had absolutely no control over when his or her personalities came out. But, the first thing that I learned from the film was that people with multiple personalities can not only control which character they want to display, but each character is aware of one another. For instance, when Dr. Luther wants to speak with Eve
