12/08/2009 History to 1877 Sec. 022 Chapter 10 A Democratic Revolution 1820-1844 The Democratic Revolution was the a time of The Constitution, Republicanism Democracy, Voting rights, Political Parties, Political Machine, Election of 1824, The Jacksonian Era. The Constitution did not include everyone and in my opinion this was so unfair. It hindered in way of not including the Indians, African American. I always wonder why these times were so divided and I have been thinking what if they were like this today. Republicanism, ruled by men of talents and virtue. Notice that it said men. No women! Wealthy men and property owners only. You know I could not have lived during these times. I would have been one upset women. Lets talk about the Representative Democracy. Why was it a messy sit- uation? Because, it was ran by men and sometimes they are messy. This democracy was represent for white men only. Everything was so weird back then there just was not enough consideration for all people. The voting rights also known as the Franchise, seem to be a little better
