(Skip Applications 1, 2, 3 in Sect 1.2; they are for engineers. Application 4 will be covered in the discussion.) Wednesday 09/29/2010: (1) Finish Section 1.2. (2) Start Section 1.3 (through the middle of Page 30). Friday 10/01/2010: (1) Finish Section 1.3 (Skip Application #2) (2) Section 1.4 Things to Prepare for the Discussions Note: These are problems/examples/topics which the Teaching Assistants (TAs) will cover in the discussion sections. You are expected to work on them before you go to the discussions. (A) Prepare these items for the discussion on Tuesday 09/27/2010.
