Proposition 19, also known as the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010. on the November 2, 2010 California had a satewide ballot vote on the acted. With 54% agasint prostion 19 the act wasn't passed. Leagalization of marjuarna is a current trend in american today becuase many factors would help soctiey. First, by being able to corntrol canbnabis it would help the crime rate go down. also, by decrimalzing marjauna it could be taxed and provide money for the goverment. last the goverment could control and regulate the drug. There are also many fctors that explain how the leagaliztion of marjauna would be awful for are scotiey. First marajunana has harmful effects on adolesnets. Also, marijuana has meny dangerous medical effects. Lastly, marijuana could promote crime, by other drug use. If propostion 19 was passed it would help lower the crime rate and improve people's quality of life. Using and selling marijauna is a non voleint act so why should people be jailed for it.
