Answer – skeletal muscle cells are NOT directly influenced by hormones or other chemical factors/signals (unlike smooth or cardiac cells) 4) Your question – What would Fig. 15-18 look like if “volume flow rate” was plotted on y- axis? Answer – straight (horizontal) line (Q is constant). 5) Review – 3 names/locations for fluid (plasma, interstitial fluid, lymph) on Fig. 15-18b 6) Blood has two fractions (Fig. 16-1) a) Liquid (plasma)
