Experiment #2 ECE 405L Objective: One objective of this lab is to investigate the mathematical and actual properties of on-off keyed periodically gated waveforms (the simplest digital signal) using common electronic communications laboratory equipment. Another objective of this lab is to learn how to use the laboratory equipment to modulate different signals. Theories: In this lab we evaluated common mathematical theories that help us derive the Fourier spectrum of a sine-wave, square-wave, rectangular wave, and amplitude modulated waves. We also evaluated the theories of on-off-keyed waveforms and how to create them using our laboratory equipment.
