Time & Date: Monday, July 12, from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm Allocated Rooms for the Exam: MC 2054 (classroom) & MC 4042 Students are divided between these two rooms by the first letter of their last name. Please make sure that you arrive at the specified class room on time. To avoid confusion, visit the room prior to the test so that you know on the day of the test where to go. The file titled Room Location for Midterm Exam 1 & 2 on Ace contains the information about exact room location for individual student. ***** Students are required to write the exam on the specified room. There will be no exception to this rule. ****** Extra office hours on the Exam week: Monday: 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm Syllabus: The Midterm Examination 2 will cover five chapters from the textbook. They are: Chapter 7: Economic Growth I: Capital Accumulation and Population Growth Chapter 8: Economic Growth II: Technology, Empirics, and Policy Chapter 9: Introduction to Economic Fluctuations Chapter 10: Aggregate Demand I: Building the IS-LM Model Chapter 11: Aggregate Demand II: Applying the IS-LM Model (pg 330-344 only) Assigned Problems from the textbook: Page 1 Chapter 7: 1, 2 & 6 Chapter 8: 1, 2 & 6 Chapter 9: 2 & 3 Chapter 10: 1 & 2 Chapter 11: 1 & 2 Procedures to write the exam: 1. Wait outside until called by the proctors. 2. Enter the room quickly and quietly. 3. Fill out the information on the front of the computer card especially your name and student number. Make sure you bubble the ovals correctly for your ID number. 4. Make dark marks that fill the ovals completely for both your student ID and answers to the multiple choice questions. 5. Fill out the information on the exam booklet including your name and student ID. 6. Provide the answers for the short questions in the space provided on the exam booklet. 6. Do not make any stray marks on the computer card. 7. Erase cleanly any marks you wish to change. 8. Do not start the exam until instructed to do so. 9. You will need pencil, eraser, sharpener and non programmable calculator . 10. Hand in the computer card and the exam booklet. Instructions: Read both the textbook and the lecture notes thoroughly to perform well in the exam. Work out the problems at the end of each chapter and questions in the study guide. A brief solution for the assigned questions from the textbook is provided in this file. In addition, there is a sample the assigned questions from the textbook is provided in this file....
