A simple network is two or more connected computers, basic components  consist of computers, network interfaces, connections mediums, operating  system software, and a hub or switch.  For large companies, network  infrastructure is vital to its successes.  The network includes telephone  systems, mobile communications, wireless and local area networks, video  conferencing systems, corporate intranet site, and local and wide area  networks that include the Internet.  Networks have been shaped by the increase of client/server computing, the  uses of packet switching and the adoption of Transmission Control  Protocol/Internet Protocol or TCP/IP as a universal communications standard  for linking networks and computers. 2.
