I think that effective medical compliances help for providers to cut down on mistakes. By having a set of guidelines to follow it makes sure that things are done correctly and that they are checked many times to make sure that the medical compliances are being followed. I do feel that it is the job of the provider to make sure that their clerical staff is doing their jobs and following established rules and guidelines. I think it would also depend on the situation as to how much blame should be placed on the staff member and on the doctor....
