Making sure that claims that are sent to a medical insurance company for reimbursement meet the compliant billing rules is essential. Mistakes that are made during a billing process can cause a delay in payment, or denial of a claim. Compliant billing may be a challenge at times, but by following the compliant laws the process it becomes less of a challenge. The medical billing process beings when a provider sees a patient. After the provider has seen the patient the provider prepares documentation of what happened during the visit. This documentation could be filled out on paper or even in an electronic format.
