Studying abroad was the biggest turning point in my life. I was skeptical about Korean education, since it has strictly uniformed curriculum. I desired to study abroad to pursue a wide range of learning. Therefore, I resolutely stopped studying in Korea, and decided to go to Penn State, which has a good curriculum in economics. While I spending two years in Penn State, I felt that this new life really changed my personality. I jumped into various kinds of works, and I became a very positive minded person. I tried to be the best in the interested fields of mine, and I have poured everything for them. Except for squash class, I did very well on overall major classes, and my major GPA was 3.91. Because of my excellent academic results, I joined NSCS (National Society of Collegiate Scholars), and I’m working as a teaching assistance for an economics class now. It is true that the last two years are the most difficult time for me, but also it was an opportunity to change my life. Thanks to my college life at Penn State, I became a very active person, and I feel confident that I can deal with any hard work. Economics is not limited to understanding the flow of money, or comprehending several principles. There are specific reasons why I choose to major in economics and engage in related fields in the future. First of all, economics is closely related to all sciences.
