Carrier Statistics Lab Homework 1. In the search bar on NanoHUB, type in “carrier Statistics” 2. Click on the Carrier Statistics Lab link 3. You will see a page that looks like this: 4. You can use these default materials parameters but change the temperature setting by clicking on the temperature tab. Change the settings so that there is not a temperature sweep. 5. Now you are ready to run the first simulation. Click on the simulate button: 6. You will see the following output: This is the Fermi Dirac Probability Distribution function for Si with the specified doping levels, at 300K. 7. Place your cursor on the graph to see the Numerical values for each point. Find the Energy for which f(E) = ½. This is the Fermi Energy.

8. Go to the results tab and select “Electron and Hole [3D] density with energy. 9. Save this image by clicking on the download arrow, and selecting save image (Draft). Click the download button.
