This paper will attempt to show how Enron and WorldCom were dissolved and will explain the unethical accounting behavior of each firm. Week 1 Day 7 Assignment 3 By June 18, 2002 accounting firm Arthur Andersen was already considered guilty by the people who has invested in or worked for Enron (Thomas, 2002). A Houston jury found Arthur Andersen guilty of obstructing justice. Andersen was responsible for auditing the books at Enron, where investors lost more than $60 billion. An Andersen employee may have been ordered to shred Enron documents before investigators could take a look at them (Thomas, 2002). Arthur Andersen altered a memo that was critical of Enrons release.
