Stakeholder Influences Page 2 Stakeholder Influences on the PEACE Domestic Violence Agency Stakeholders are the people whom should be considered in achieving the goals of the programs and those whose participation and support would be critical for the program to be a success. Stakeholder analysis identifies primary and secondary stakeholders as all whom would have a vested interest in the issues or problem that the program or policy addresses. The information gathered from the analysis is used for an assessment into how the interests of the stakeholders should be addressed in regards to the project plans, policies, programs, or any other actions associated with the program. One of the goals of the stakeholder is to develop strategic views of the human and institutional landscape as well as the relationships between the different stakeholders and the issues that they care about most concerning the program. It is critical for organizations and agencies to work closely with their stakeholders to ensure that the goals, objectives, and overall mission can address all issues and start the program off in the right direction. Stakeholders provide opportunities to further align business practices with societal needs and expectations, helping to drive long-term sustainability and shareholder value. Stakeholders are intended to help the practitioners fully realize the benefits of stakeholder engagement in their organization, to compete in an increasingly complex and ever-changing business environment, while at the same time bringing about systemic change towards sustainable development.
