BERNAL 1 HCA 210 June 27, 2010 Bernal Measuring Quality In the health care profession it is extremely important to be able to successfully and correctly measure the possible outcome for a patient. Measuring the outcome is important because it helps the medical staff determine how the patient care plan should go. Another reason it is crucial to correctly measure the possible outcome of the patient is so you can make proper changes to their patient care plan if the previous plan was unsuccessful. Many health care workers such as nurses, doctors, and nursing techs play an important part in developing quality care. To start off with, one way to measure the possibility of a patient having a positive patient is by first accessing the patients over all well being. The person that would most likely be in charge of handling this responsibility would be the triage nurse. When the patient first arrives in the hospital, certain questions are asked by the nurse to the patient. Some of these questions
