You need to know: - All definitions and statements of theorems. - How to use the Gram-Schmidt procedure to produce an orthogonal basis. - How to find the projection or perpendicular of a projection of a vector onto a subspace. - How to find polynomial of best fit to a given set of data using the normal system. - How to orthogonally diagonalize a symmetric matrix. - How to diagonalize and classify quadratic forms.

The questions on the term test are largely based on those from assignments 5, 6, 7 (both written and MapleTA) and tutorials. In addition to reviewing those problems, it is recommended that you do additional A and D problems from the relevant sections of the text. NOTE: It is also very important to know all results relating to similar matrices and diagonalization from Linear Algebra 1. NO CALCULATORS allowed....
