Case 4 Word of Mouth 1. I do feel as if word of mouth behavior among consumers can be controlled by  marketers. If marketers don’t push a certain product to someone, that one person  will move on with their life and not talk to anyone about that product that a  marketer was trying to sell to someone. If a marketer gives a sample of a product  or a coupon, that is when the consumer will begin to talk to their other friends  about that specific product.  2. Consumers would join networks to promote products without being paid  because as the article stated, “it’s cool to know about stuff before other  people.” All products need marketing before a company will start to make  a profit. For example, let’s just say two different types of men’s cologne  just came out into the market. As I’m flipping through a magazine, one of  the colognes has a large advertisement about the cologne with a scratch  and sniff section to smell the cologne, as well as a coupon or a free small  trial sample. On the other hand, the other cologne that came out wasn’t
