1 3AL NMR Worksheet (Due on November 22 by 5 PM in your TA’s Mailbox Located on the 3 rd Floor of Latimer Hall, Next to the Elevators) Your Name:______________________________________________________ Your TA’s Name and Lab Section Number:______________________________ 1. Sketch the 1 H NMR and 13 C[ 1 H] NMR spectra of each molecule. For all spectra, chemical shifts must be correct relative to each other. That is, you do not need to assign ppm values to any resonance. In the 1 H NMR spectra draw any multiplets accurately. If there are any resonances in the same chemical shift region, be sure to separate them enough so that they are distinguishable. For each spectrum assign all hydrogen or carbon atoms to the corresponding resonances. Refer to the various tables in Chapter 8 of the laboratory text for information on chemical shifts, coupling constants, etc. Sketch the 13 C[ 1 H] NMR spectrum of Sketch the 1 H NMR spectrum of H 3 CO H 3 CO H 3 CO H 3 CO
