Parenthood as an Option One of most important decisions in life Lots of ways: own child, own child through IVF and other methods, adoption, foster parent Not being a parent is a valid option as well. Research Having a baby does not help a troubled marriage Couples who had most strain following birth had most marital problems before pregnancy Advantages of remaining childless more time for self and companion more financial resources marriages less stressful and most happy more spontaneity more devotion to career
