Unformatted text preview: Arthur Chiu 9s.5 Art Evaluation: Landscape Environment During the second term in Year 9, we started to work on the Landscape and Environment topic. A Landscape painting is when you paint a certain view of the countryside. In this topic, we produced multiple pieces of Landscape sketches of trees and other environmental objects that we found in the garden of our school, and used the different ideas and techniques from these sketches to produce a final piece of Landscape painting. At the start of this topic, we produced sketches of Landscapes which we found in our school backyard, our homes, and from various photos. To do this, we chose a certain area of the picture and sketched out the area, with certain techniques that would make the painting look real and effective by using shades. To use different shades, we used different sketch pencils from 9B, the darkest, to 9H, the lightest.
