Unit Evaluation Throughout the last five months of our GCSE Art course, we have been doing our first unit. The theme of this unit is “Closely observe”. At the start of this unit, we have been creating our own spider diagram in order to look closely in the subject and think of our own ideas. After that, I have come out with five ideas about different areas that I might look at, and they are Animals, Plants, Architecture, Foods and different Expressions. Then we started to investigate different objects by observing and drawing them out with different medias. At first, I have been focusing on drawing objects from the nature – plants, shell… And we have been collecting our own objects in order to draw from primary sources. Then we went to an art trip to visit the park and the harbour in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, I have been taking many pictures of many different things I saw, for example the statues from the park and the terrific view from the harbour.
