Art Evaluation – Structures In this unit, we have been looking at different kinds of structures. At the beginning, I have done a spider diagram with many ideas that I might be looking at. I then started looking at the structure of plants. I have done a few drawings based on real plants. After looking at plant structure, I started to look at the structure of buildings. I have taken photographs of different kinds of buildings in Hong Kong and done some drawings based on them. After that, I have looked at the structure of optical arts. I have searched for images of optical art and copy them using paint. After investigating the three types of structures, I have then decided to focus on the structure of architecture. I have started to look at an artist who paints buildings – Charles Sheeler. I have been looking at some of his artwork and his style of painting. Then I started to take photographs based on the architectural structure and drew sketches of them. Meanwhile, I was looking at another artist – Edward Hoper/ I have done
