Opening: Hi _________, thank you for taking the time to sit down with me. I am very interested in hearing about changes in people’s lives and I understand that you were in a car accident two years ago. I understand that this was very life changing for you and it may not be possible to cover every single detail in one day. But I would like to get started and find out more about how this effected and possibly changed you. This interview today should take anywhere from 30 to 35 minutes of your time. I would like to know from your view what the ordeal was like for you. Then later, I hope to understand in greater detail of its affects in a second interview. My agenda setting is: how did Jay get into an accident and how did it effect him? Body Questions: I will have a warm and thoughtful climate, and I will use active listening. Tell me, what happened?
