Materials and Methods 1. De-shelled eggs 2. Distilled water 3. Salt water at different concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) 4. 100ml graduated cylinder 5. Plastic cup top loading balance 6. Timer 7. Overhead projector Introduction The purpose of this experiment was to view the process of osmosis. We accomplished this by letting de- shelled eggs soak in a solution. The solution varied and it had different results. The diffusion of water molecules through a selectively permeable membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration. ("Scribd")While this process is going on we must make assumptions and think about why this might be happening. We already knew that some solutions perform different things to certain objects. We were determined to find out what things happened and why. Results The results of this project were inclusive to my hypothesis that hypotonic solutions will add weight to the egg while hypertonic removes weight from the egg. I found the results out by doing an experiment that

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
