BSC 2010 Test #2 Review The test will consist of 50 multiple choice test. Be sure to review your textbook reading assignments, course notes and online quizzes. The following list is not meant to be the entire test but will guide you to make sure you have the major points. Chapter 4 Know the difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Know the difference between bacteria, plant and animal cells. Know all the organelles and their functions. Know three types of cytoskeleton (microfilaments, intermediate filaments and microtubules). Chapter 5 Know the structure and functions of cellular membranes. Know description of the composition, organization, and variability of membranes (mosaic model, hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions, type of membrane proteins). Know the three types of cell junctions and their difference. Understand how small molecules move across membranes and how membranes control these movements (passive and active transport).
