Holiday Eating the Right Way The holiday season is the time of year when we think of get-togethers, parties, and enjoying an abundance of foods like traditional pecan pie. It is also a trip down memory lane for most of us as we enjoy the company of our many friends and family members. The holidays are memorable times full of good comfort and joy. However, the weeks after the holidays are usually filled with weight gains and other health problems from too many sweets. Obesity is endemic quickly circling the globe, and the holidays do not help. Some even say the diet industry is more profitable than the oil companies. The way we eat and prepare our food practically guarantees that we will overeat because we are adding in so many nutrient stripped ingredients. Psychologists often tell us that we overeat because of our emotional problems and that may be true in some cases, but in reality, our bodies are hungry for the right nutrients. When you start giving your body the nutrients it craves, overeating will cease to be a major problem. So
