Vernon Warren Business Research Design MBA 6610 January 10, 2010 Critique on Thinking and Transferability: A Review of the Literature While critiquing this article, Cooper & Schindler state that good research is composed of 9 elements. The listed elements are having a clearly defined purpose, research process detailed, research design thoroughly planned, limitations frankly revealed, adequate analysis for decision maker’s needs, findings presented unambiguously, conclusions are justified, and researchers experience is reflected. Gwendolyn Reece did a good job with clearly defining her purpose. Throughout her research she hopes to see if American students that are taught critical thinking skills are able to transfer and apply these skills outside of a classroom environment. Reece clearly states the details of her research process. In order to get to her final result she must first answer a certain set of questions.
