Tuwanda Richardson MBA 6610: Business Research Design January 9, 2010 What is “Good Research?” Good research does not lack structure in data assembly and doesn’t provide excessive information that maybe useless to the target audience. Instead, good research aims to address a problem through clearly concise evaluation and sound reasoning. What is considered good research will mimic the structure of the scientific method closely (Cooper & Schindler, 2008). Cooper & Schindler (2008) characterize good research by the following traits: clearly defined purpose, detailed research process, thoroughly planned research design, application of high ethical standards, limitations addressed, adequate analysis, unambiguous presentation, justified conclusions, and researcher’s experience reflected.
