Effective Persuasion I See Why Others Choose to Die 2 Effective Persuasion Jerry Fensterman's story was an example for many people who are against assisted suicide. This has been a debate for a long time. When I think of assisted suicide the person who comes to mind is Dr. Jack Kevorkian. He seems to be an icon with the issue of assisted suicide. I have always agreed with Dr. Kevorkian; assisted suicide should be the right of any individual who has a terminal illness. I have never had anyone very close to me that was terminally ill. Although I have always agreed with this issue, I have never truly known the emotions that come included when making a decision that is so serious. Jerry Fensterman's story gave me an insight why someone should have the right to make that decision; also why someone would want to make the decision to choose assisted suicide. Fensterman's essay persuade me even more with my opinion, because of the first person
