Sources of Vitamin D Milk (fortified) – D2 Sun – D3 D3 and D2 get transported & stored in the liver o Liver -> Calciferol -> Kidneys -> Calcitriol -> intestines (where it  operates) Causes of Vitamin D Deficiency Lack of Vitamin D in food o By itself, very rare deficiency
