I do not remember exactly when I fell into the habit of closing my eyes;It may have happened in early childhood. The time was early spring when I turned six-years old. When I was five years old, I had to go to the kindergarten on the other side of my village. In a year, I was supposed to learn and master the Chinese language and Math; normal students took two years to master this. However, I was such a bright boy that I mastered elementary level of Chinese and Math only in a Year. I really hated going to school, though. However, I was scared of my teacher’s willow tree switch and scared to look at my father’s angry face. But one day, I rose up in a kind of revolt. I do not remember what the motive was for recalcitrance. Anyway, I begged my parents not make me go to school. My mother soothed me, but as she tried to keep soothing me, I stood firm. My father listened quietly and without comment. He suddenly ran toward me like a bullet shot out of a gun and cracked the whip at me. My mother was shocked at the situation, and she blocked my father and shouted my name. “Run! Run! Right now!” I got out of the clutches of my father quickly and hid in the basement. But, eventually, he caught me! So, I tried frantically to get him to stop hitting me and shouted at him with one
